English bicycles, 3 spd hub, from '50's & '60's. Also European Mopeds, just getting a French Velo Solex [think baguettes & a bag of onions] back on the road but dreaming of a German Meilie with a Puch 2 stroke.

I had a collection of veteran and vintage motor cycles, but sold them to purchase a 1946 Auster Aircraft( similar to a Taylorcraft BCD12). I still have a 1917 Henderson 4clylinder motorcycle, 1929 DA Dodge 6 Sedan (under repair--motor) an a 1982 BMW R100 mtorcycle. Previously had 1909 Triumph ex WW1 dispatch motorcycle, 1959 Ariel Redhunter M/c, 1974 Honda CB450 and Piagio 125 scooter. Also have a 1920's Massy Harris stationary engine 3hp at650rpm.

Wind up antique Victor Victrolas and various Edison cylinder and DD machines from 1900-1920's - been collecting since 1965. While living in Calcutta, India, I bought an old wind up from a man on the street who had a monkey on a chain with a cup - he would play an ancient 78 while the monkey worked the crowd for Rupees. Loving all things mechanical I began restoring these machines in the 80's and have about 53. Wife said bring one more home and she is going to organize an intervention...

Oh' Wow! I love collecting things:
1. HO model railroad: Seaboard Air LIne RR and brass logging RR engines 2. World War II Nazi gear (not so much anymore, to much $ and to many nuts) 3. Two Harleys and I use to have a bunch of parts & memorabilia, but have got'en rid of most of the parts. 4. Lucky Strike cigarette memorabilia (use to smoke Luckies, but quit & packed the collection away) 5. Shoot'n irons: a bunch of them too, now I mostly collect ammo for the ones I have 6. Antique car (20's, 30's) driving lights and spot lights 7. Model-A era (to include Chevy) antique car memorabilia 8. Only the two A's and one Chevy. If I had more $ and room I'd have more! ![]() Bob-A

I don't collect St. Christopher medals, but I do have this one pinned to the header of my 1935 Ford. I like it because it shows a small race car, a motorcycle, an airplane, a ship and a train. It seems to be from the 1930s. So far, it has worked like a charm ! MIKE ![]() CLICK ON PHOTO TO ENLARGE - Twice Last edited by FL&WVMIKE; 08-13-2012 at 12:23 PM. |

I used to collect all kinds of things from guns to Indian artifacts, from rocks and minerals to antique tractors and houses. I have the "collector" gene!

About 20 years ago I started collecting plastic Model car kits when they were cheap. My closet shelves were full of more than 100 of them. Now that I'm retired, I'm building them one at a time and adding them to my collection of several hundred diecast cars in my class faced cabinets in my garage.
