Default Re: Wanted: FLEX LINE - Ethanol Gas Resistant

The test in the Ford service bulletins is CPR 9350 A. This is on the input side of the pump. I use the output side with a gauge in the line between the pump and carb. I also used a shut off valve between the gauge and carb. I run the engine, shut the valve off and then turn the engine off. This eliminates the carb float as the leak and only the pump valve and diaphram is being tested. The Ford test says if it holds vacume, in may case pressure for ONE MINUTE before leaking to zero the pump is GOOD??? I question just how good this is?? With gadgiteers flex hose with the built in check valve it holds pressure for hours not one minute. G.M.
