Hi All:
Robert Wadlow was also known as the Alton Giant, from Alton, Ill. He was 8'-11" tall and weighed 439 lbs. That photo was no trick shot. People that I know that knew him say he was one of the nicest guys around. He died from an infection at the age of 22 in 1940. He still has family in the Alton area.
