Ford pickup wheels until at least the year 2000 have the same bolt pattern, this would give you a host of various 15 and 16 wheels that I would think would fit and the salvage yards are full of them.

I "THINK" I read somewhere that to use those wheels, you had to add some kind of skinny ring to the hub for better support contact. A friend told me you could use an old piston ring?? He could have been pulling my leg. Don't accept either statement as "GOSPEL," As I don't know everything either. Bill W.

I knew that, but I was refering to the later disc wheels, mounted to Model A hubs, and have heard of cracking the wheels without using some sort of ring??--Bill

James, I suspect your racer wheels are 16" rather than 15"
Bill, the rule is, if the hub was meant for wire wheels you can use any Ford wire wheel with the same bolt pattern. If the hub was meant for disk wheels you can use any Ford disk wheel with the same bolt pattern. If you use disk wheels on a hub designed for wire wheels, you'll need an adapter. If you use wire wheels on a hub designed for disks, you'll need an adapter. |

i think you have to use a shouldered ring when putting '35 wire wheels on hydraulic drums.

You guys are correct. Sometimes I need to just look at something before I type.
