I was told by the people who were here when it was wrecked, that it is a thirties era Ford. While you guys say it is a 46, and that may or may not be true as I dont know how to ID these cars, I will go by the people who owned it, crashed it on my property rather than some guys on the Internet. Im gonna just take it to ebay most likely. Eric |

'Course, you've already stated you now "know" it's a '46, or did you forget? Beam me up Scotty!

With that attitude, and your "Contract" ad, you'll be lucky to not have to pay to haul it away. For a guy in his early forties, you seem as set in your attitudes as us old geezers, sonny! You're gonna go with what your joy riding neighbors told you and now you want to sell a car that you haven't got Title to?
What's the penalty for possesion of stolen property in SC? Don't pass GO, Don't collect $200, Go straight to jail? May you have a Very Happy New Year!

Good times! I agree with the hamb ave also. Best of my knowledge most states have not kept registration from the 60s down anyway. Looks like it hasn't been moved in a while. :]'
Grain of salt man. You had an offer of $150. All else fails do what Seth and Marv said. Happy trails and don't sweat it. |

Eric, don't bother calling Dennis now. He's a pretty mellow guy, not your sort at all.
As it's going to be around for another 50 years, you might decorate it with bullet holes and grow daisies in it. Better sleep with your M1 Garand and chain it to your tree, you sure don't want someone else to steal it! Have a good day, sonny.

I've been reading this from the start and it's gotten out of hand. Eric, these guys have given you good info as to the age of that wreck. They collect these cars and you don't. Also, people's ( relatives )memories get foggy over time and they kinda forget the correct details. Your replies are inconsistent, first you agree about the age, then you don't. Do yourself a favor and go to this website www.cadvision.com and scroll down to 46-48 Fords. It will verify what's been said here. It will identify that car. I will agree that if you were offered $150.00 for it, that's more than it's worth. Time has taken it's toll on the car. THe engine is probably a boat anchor now, being exposed to the weather.
I see your upset over being picked on about the car, there still isn't any need for profanities. It doesn't put you in a very good light. You really should listen to these guys, they know what they're talking about. I've learned alot from them. I will agree, some of the remarks are uncalled for, but you got defensive and argumentive about everything said. You should accept the fact the car is a 46 and not from the 30's and also realise your family is incorrect. I'm not taking sides, so don't get upset with me. I'm just trying to give a 3rd party's opinion. My personal view is that if that car was on my property, I'd strip it for the usable parts and scrap it. But, you do what you think is best. The longer it sits exposed, the less there will be left to salvage.

Well golly gee, I used to think the North Carolinians were pretty mellow folks and have met many likable ones along the way. This "thirties " guy give folks a whole new outlook. Maybe a bit too much white lightning ? Did he say 42 or 2 or 14 years of age ? There are at least three Fords that age and a Forty not too many miles from where I live and probably could get any of them for haul away !

He comes here hat in hand asking for advice, gets it then gets po'd because of being called on his stories inconsistencies. He thought it was tough here!!! He would have been reamed good over on the Hamb before the end of the first page.

Hey Eric, let the dust settle awhile and then maybe think about changing your screen name here to something like FortiesFord. Most of us here suffer from short term memory loss (CRS) anyway and by tomorrow most of us probably won't even remember what happened when you called yourself ThirtiesFord. Just don't slip and mention anything about that rusted out $200.00 '46 Ford again. Things will probably start to go a lot better here for you.
