Default Alemite grease gun

I can`t seem to locate an Alemite grease gun with a good to decent bright finish. Anyone have experience taking one apart for plating OR? Looks to be cadmium satin.

There is a rattle can available in a very decent cadmium color.

The original finish was in fact Cadmium. It was, when fresh, rather glossy. Even NOS grease guns have a dull "silverish" finish. That's due to age.
If you would like a grease gun for judging purposes, it should be freshly plated.

If you want to purchase one that is correctly plated, check with Pat Stacey. There may be the correct one for your application in new silver cadmium finish from the inventory of the "Old Ford Tools" business her husband Lin had when he was running the business. [email protected] 630-308-6081

thanks. The Model A and 32 seem to use a gun that is harder to find and usually in poor cond.

What model number are you seeking? Photograph perhaps?

There is no number on the gun only Alemite Lubricator and Alemite MFG Corp. The grease gun and crank/lug wrench extension are the last items I need to complete the tool kit.(I hope)

Some were nickel plated (shiner) and some were cadmium plated almost a chalky finish to it (dull finish). Different part numbers but used interchangeably. This all according to Lyn Stacey. I remember him describing this and I bought both variations of the guns for my 52 truck tool kit.
