I find it interesting that the best looking of the "shoebox" Fords, was quicky slapped together by Ford engineers as competition against Chevrolet's Bel Aire hardtops introduced in 1950.
Obviously, the Crestliners (based on the rather stodgy two door sedan) wasn't cutting it. |
