Cars I didn't buy are more regretful than the ones I bought. LOL. However, sometimes the time just isn't right. That engine and transmission you are saving GB would make a nice base for a coffee table you could make in your wood shop. I'm happy that you don't mind a little teasing GB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I can take it, and I have at least one big regret about a vehicle I did not act upon in about 1990, so I fully understand the ramifications. I have dug myself into a hole I can't get out of until maybe Mid May. My experiment with 'semi-retirement' was going so well until I couldn't resist three projects back to back to back. I worked right through last weekend and this one promises to be the same. No complaints, the projects are all rather 'high profile', challenging and financially attractive. But a Coffee Table? Sheesh 34, that one hurt Still funny....

Trucks and panels seem to be so generic these days. Not many styles like the various brands had in the early years. Mostly just square boxes now. I remember growing up and being excited watching different cars and trucks. I don't think kids are as intrigued this way now. They have their computers, phones and gaming machines to keep them occupied. My dad was born in 1895 and he saw the transition from horses to all of the exciting developments of the automotive birth.

Your dad lived in an amazing time period. He was 8 when the Wright Brothers flew. When did he die? The innovations he saw...... Mind boggling.
