Default 19 inch inner tubes

I saw these on amazon and was wondering if this size would work on 1931 models A 19 inch wheels.

I just replaced the tires on a 28 pickup and the old tubes had numbers stamped on them. They are really thick rubber and universal brand so I googled the number and it showed they are for a tractor. They have been on for many years so back on they went.

If price is what your discriminator is, the Model A vendors have 19” tubes in the neighborhood of $20-$25. Not a huge amount greater than those you show, known high quality, and you support our small vendors instead of the big river store.

Be very careful when purchasing " inexpensive" innertubes I have purchased such tubes before for my other hobby ( Motorcycles ) Some appear to be very robust, however most are made in China and as crazy as it sounds i have had tubes just blow sitting in the garage after being mounted for days, with zero miles on them.. I am a strong believer in using a quality innertube for safety.. not to mention if your mounting your own tires it just plane sucks to have to break down a tire to replace a " new" innertube because it broke at the seam or fold mark...

I agree with Sport King. As an ex-motorcycle mechanic and off road rider I know a cheap tube can ruin your day real fast. I see the tubes in question are “Hecho en Chine”.

That was kinda where I was going in Post #4… Tubes are not where I would look to save a couple of bucks. One failure and all your savings will look like money ill saved. I’ve been using Snyder’s radial 19” tubes for quite a while without any issues. They appear to be well made with consistent and thick joints at the valve stems.

For whatever reason Chinese rubber is not any good. It cracks and goes bad quickly.

I guess that would depend on valve stem location. I can not tell from the picture or description if it is centered or off-set or even the correct size.

I needed a tube for my AA and I asked the two places that had them where they were made, one said China the other said India what a choice.

Unfortunately I bought my tubes from Snyder's along with American Classic radial tires. Two flats within the first 600 miles or so. I promptly purchased Coker's Hartford tubes and through Snyder's tubes in the garbage And yes I checked for the stickers on the inside of the carcasses prior to mounting. Just the weight alone of the Hartford is impressive. 14 months and no flats and maybe lose 2 lbs of air in a month or more.

They would cost in he vicinity of $70+ here. I had to buy one a short time ago.

Their website says not for highway use, but that is probably just to cover their liability.

Update: the tubes didn’t fit. The valve stem were to fat and would not fit through the hole in the rim.

Sell them at a small profit on eBay. Or you could use the metal valve stems that are in two pieces and install in the tubes through a hole that you cut. See https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/p...3886&cat=41752

Or just admit to yourself that you took a gamble, lost and write it off to a lesson painfully learned. Do it right next time and buy from a known quality vendor.

You might be able to return at least some of them to Amazon.
