Leaf springs have a life expectancy, they eventually where out. The whole spring assembly should be replaced on both sides. That's the correct way to do it, on the other hand. if that's too much money you can have a spring shop just make you the two broken leaves. At work on the phone company trucks we replaced individual leaves all of the time. When I first got there, they were breaking lleaves on the 2 1/2 ton trucks. We started checking the U-bolts for tightness on every service and the springs stop breaking.
