the 59AB is not what a 49 had originally,it would have had a 8BA
So it depends on what modifications were done to the 59ab to fit it into the 49
otherwise the front pulley would have interference issues ,the rest is pretty much bolt in
The Ford parts books of the era had listings of the parts to fit later engine blocks into earlier cars.
