Gary, this guy was a good friend for years but very "un-car savvy". In the end, my "Rental Program" actually seemed to be what he needed at the time, so who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth?

Do you actually remember the old Charlie Drake song "My Boomerang Won't Come Back" or is this just a coincidence?

I DO remember that , and the reference is intentional. I will admit it was more on my mom and dad's station, but I remember all those songs like 'Tammy's in Love', and another about a Panama Hat and maybe white shoe laces and then a lot of Bobby Darin and Johnny Mathis and of course Frankie. My upbringing came with a soundtrack of 'popular music' on the radio. On the subject at hand, I'm naming this truck Bob Seeger, because it sits 'Way up Firm and High'.
