Default Marvel Carb User Group

OK, rebuilt Marvel (2405) carb on the way from Rand Broadstreet. Asking here if there is interest in forming a users’ group. Also, anyone in contact with Robert Sumption?

Me too, although what form would it take? I like Facebook special interest groups but not everyone is on there.

I'm a solid fan of the Marvel; I have 6 of them. I also have Zeniths and Tillotsons - they each have their strong points and weak points but I prefer the Marvel.

They were sold under names such as Johnson, Sears Allstate, and Marvel Shebler. The color was natural pot metal but after cleaning and re-assembly, I painted some of mine black because I just liked the look.

Is that flange warped or is it an optical issue.

To answer initial question, user group may be a good idea for sharing fixes, parts exchange, etc. and performance issues.

No, I trued up (flattened) the flange surface. What you're seeing is the curvature of a gasket sitting on top of it. Good eye, though!
