Default Re: 2024 video releases from Mart's Garage. All in this one thread.

Twin carbs on a flatty. Just how difficult can a fella make it?

Mart's 1933 Coupe: Hot Rod Dual Carbs for Pendine! Part1. (Update 2435)

I have decided to run my 33 coupe at this year's VHRA Hot Rod Races at Pendine. I have ran it before in it's current configuration, so I wanted to see what a difference a dual carb setup would make. The rest of the engine is unchanged and pretty well stock. The manifold does not fit as is so follow along while I make a series of modifications. Lots of lathe and milling machine work involved in this job. Hopefully once completed we will see an improvement on the beach!
The engine in the coupe is the crusty flatty. The one I featured in a video series a few years ago. Check it out the playlist if you want to see an engine that in reality should have been scrapped.
I Hope you enjoy this offering. Don't forget: Keep it real! Keep it cheap!
