Kube, That's a great story. Those were good days when folks really helped each other out and patriotism was a virtue. (Just my opinion.) I also found WI folks to be good people. In 1971 ran out of gas with my 40 during winter on the interstate from Menomonie to Minneapolis. Walked to a farmers home in the snow and he gave me a can of gas to get going.
Not so much today, sadly.
