Well, I stayed single till I was 30 or I could have never afforded it. We used to jokingly say we spent everything we made, on racing minus 10% to live on...LOL.
I was fortunate in that I was working at a shop that had many AAA, USAC and NHRA big name customers. It was easy to soak up info just by listening close and asking questions at the right time.
It was a great journey and I am glad to say it is still going on to a small extent.
