Ford "dog dish" Hubcaps. The above picture shows the different Ford "dog dish" Hubcaps from 1957 to 1966. Starting from the left, we have the 1957-1959 (white centre). The next one in with the black around the outside is correct for the 1960 Fords. The third hubcap in is correct for the 1961 and 1962 Fords. This is the style that is correct for the above Starliner. Fourth is with all the lines around the edge is correct for the 1963 Fords. Second last with the cross bar is correct for the 1964 Fords, while the hubcap on the right is correct for the 1965 and 1966 Fords. I hope that this Ford "dog dish" identification helps.

This recently imported unrestored 1961 Ford Starliner is fitted with 1960 Ford "dog dish" Hubcaps. They still look good.

Great pic and explanation! Neat to see the changes they made over the years.

yblock57 - I am glad that you liked my photo of the lineup of Ford Dog Dish Hubcaps that I added to this Thread.
By way of explanation, in Australia, the first year that Ford Australia offered Full Wheel Covers on the "big" Fords was the 1965 Ford Galaxie. Two model Fords hat were never released in Australia are the 1957 and 1958 models. In their place, Ford Australia continued to offer the 1956 Ford Customline, but with revised trim. After missing two years, we did catch up again with the USA with the locally available 1959 Ford Fairlanes, including a Wagon for the first and only time, but they all came with 15" wheels and Dog Dish Hubcaps. For the years 1962, 1963 and 1964, only the "Compact" Ford Fairlane was offered, and once again, all came with Dog Dish Hubcaps. Part way through 1964, a limited quantity of 1964 Ford Galaxies were available, but they all had Dog Dish Hubcaps. After the 1965 Ford Galaxie model, Ford Australia continued to offer the "Big" Ford Galaxies in 1966, 1967 and 1968. Then in 1969 through to 1972, Ford Australia offered the Ford LTD, and then there were no more. The only Body Style offered locally were the Four Door Sedans, however, the "last of the breed" 1971 and 1972 Ford LTD's were offered as Four Door Pillared Hardtops.
