Default Re: 52 F1 oil seal

Hi guys

I’m adding to my earlier oil seal post. I’m not sure if what happened today is related to the preload.

Truck is a daily driver. All stock and I’ve put on a few hundred miles since replacing the seal. There is no leak.

Today while driving I heard a fairly loud tapping noise. As I slowed the noise slowed. I pushed in clutch noise still there. I stopped truck and noise disappeared. Reved engine stopped, no tapping. Put back in gear and tapping was gone. Truck shifted fine there after and no noise.

Note: around a thousand miles or so I had tranny professionally rebuilt. Installed new clutch and throw out bearing.
