Am I missing something or could noise be transferred through the bars.

If that engine is properly balanced like I'm sure it is, and there is no "miss" in any of the cylinders, I can't imagine what vibration there would be to transmit through the anti-chatter rods. Maybe just turn the radio up a little louder? DD
