The one shown in the first post is of low quality and a sure way to get a lot of trouble in your electrical system. Anything that clamps onto the battery cable is bad. That connection needs to be soldered, as do any and every battery cable end.

Wow that's interesting seems the other day I was helping my neighbor with a set of jumper cables and pretty sure those were not soldered. As far as that goes the positive and negative battery cables I see for sale are all crimp end fittings like the ones on all my other vehicles, the pictured cable end is solid and will not come off besides its just for a disconnect. Low quality? I bet the resistance through that cable is no different than if that end was soldered. Happy New Year. |
