Good article.

Here is one that was in this area in 1955. This was a 12 second car at the drags.
First drag car I saw that would pick up the left front wheel off the line.

I remember that car in Magnolia. That is Harry Walrath. I think he lived
on Perkins Lane. I was about 12 years old with.eye's as big as diner plates.
Did Al Cooper have anything to do with that engine? Gary

Harry was a good friend of mine. We partied many times at his house with Gerry Grant and others.
He assembled all of his own engines. Ballard Auto Parts did most of his machine work. He broke several pistons because he was hung up on JE cast pistons.
