The ignition coil resister is located inside the car, on the inside firewall, up from the steering column. I hope this helps .

Here's the 40. I believe 39 is the same. The maroon thing is the E brake handle.

on the 39 you will find it on inside firewall mounted next to the headlamp circut breaker or fuse.
