I had a friend in England, now deceased, and he bought a 1928 Phaeton new in early 1928. I not only have seen this car but have driven it. The car had the small bore engine and on local highways had sufficient power, but probably not for a high speed highway. I cannot give you any data on the engine numbering. I believe the small bore was for highway tax reasons in England. I am having computer problems and can send responses but cn not send.
