Default Re: CLutch Chatter

If you have oil on the clutch disc and flywheel there's a cheater fix to temporarily reduce or stop the chatter. Take the floor boards out and remover the inspection cover on the clutch housing. Then with the engine running, trans in neutral and park brake on push the clutch pedal to the floor and spray Brake Kleen between the disengaged clutch and the fly wheel. Spray heavily until it starts dripping out the radius rod socket on the bottom of the trans.
The clutch will be spinning so it might get messy but if oil on the clutch is the problem this should give you some temporary relief from the chatter.
If this doesn't help then you may have other problems that need to be diagnosed.
