Thank you. The '39 Lincoln Zephyr is actually dark green, it’s a '48 Caddy color, and it was painted on Long Island in 1958 by Earl Shibe (spelling). I'm planning on painting it a dark "eggplant" purplish-blue with burgundy wheels and interior dash, console and garnish moldings. The interior will be redone as stock, dark red leather, and carpeting and a black hartz cloth canvas top with burgundy piping. Hopefully I’ll actually finish it one day.

Thats why I could quite place it with in the smallish photo. I LOVE it! PLEASE get it finisihed soon. I'd LOVE to see it in person completed.
In the mid to late '90's I had a '47 Chevy convertible that was a very dark purple, very eggplant in color. It was a '94?ish Camaro color called Hawaiian Orchid. Very cool color. Looked almost black at night.

I have had the privilege of riding in it with vic at the wheel,ONLY PROBLEM is if you want to see the other cars you are traveling with you have to look in the rear view mirrors LOL

i remember earl shribe ..i lived in queens ny in the 60s ,his motto was i will paint any car any color 29.95.....how ever he painted my 55 chev nomad and charged me 49.95 because it was a station wagon, the black paint was perfect,today you coulden't buy a quart of black paint for that price. lol
