Default 60 HP Water pump threads

Just got a 60 hp flathead. Its a tin sided 37. Its missing the water pumps and I am trying to figure out if the threads are straight or tapered. Sounds simple, but I am not sure what to look for. There are only four threads. Is the taper prominent? Am I looking for, as an example, the difference between a straight thread on a bolt compared to a tapered pipe thread? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
