Default James at Dreamwerks

James at Dreamwerks is my hero! He came to my rescue helping me diagnose a real main leak. First I couldn't get the rear cap off with the engine in the car and he so kindly posted a picture of the wrench he made up using a 3/4 inch socket welded into a long 1 inch box end wrench. I had been unable to get the nuts loose with the engine in the car. It worked perfectly! After getting it off I discovered the rear slinger had been machined off and a "modern" seal put in its place. That's where the leak was coming from. I was afraid I was going to need a rebuild which was disappointing since when I pulled the pan off I discovered that the engine was a fairly recent rebuild with new Babbitts, cam, lifters and pistons. If you look on a recent post of mine on engine rattle there are pictures of James wrench. He was very patient spending a good thirty minutes on his day off today explaining the fix! Here's to a true ModelA'er!

THANKS JAMES!!!!!!!!!
