Cracker Barrels are the Howard Johnsons of the 21st Century... My wife and I always stop at the Cracker Barrel in Macon, Ga. on the drive up to my moms in Sautee, Ga. The food is always good as well as the service. The only differences are no orange roof and no 28 flavors of ice-cream at Cracker Barrel... I remember as a kid in the late '50's and early '60's it was a real treat for my sister and me if we stayed at a Howard Johnsons Motor Lodge on a trip from Long Island to Georgia to visit my Grandparents.
