thoughts on main bearing Babbitt ??

i have a block that i am going to have the main bearings re-babbitted.

the question is -- when they do the babbitt should they spiral groove the bearings or should i ask them not to?

there was some discussion about this a while back. every model A engine that i have taken apart has had the groove cut in. and the last engine i had babbitted was grooved.
