Default Auction fun

While I should just stay away from these things, its fun to look at other peoples junk. I was a pretty good boy, and only bought 1/2 a pickup load.

Most fun is a steam pump! Cute lil' bugger, twin cylinder, 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 3
only about 2 feet long. It was hiding in some tall grass and the auctioneer called it a pump jack. Only 2 of us knew what it was, and I won it for 55 bucks.

I've never had any steam stuff as its never cheap or common. Some tinkering when I got home and it moved! So, not stuck and hopefully not dead. Now I need a boiler...maybe rig it up so the wife has to boil water to take a shower.
Don't worry, I'll buy her an engineers hat.

Next, the little bench top brake shoe grinder, 5 bucks. Plugged in, it works.
They had 4 trailers full of stuff, a few high dollar things and then they would start selling by the pile.

One pile I got had a very nice 34 ford header panel, better than the one for my jalopy, and one windshield frame and some unknown garnish moldings
There's a youtube guy I watch, he mostly covers auctions, he was there,
name is mr goodpliers. He already has this video out, called Kansas auction walk around, and at the 30 minute mark he and his partner are looking at my header panel and think it to be from some truck cab. Lucky for me nobody else knew what it was either.

There was about 6 steering columns laying on the ground, one was a 32.
We start bidding for choice, I run him up to 150 and let him have it. Choice again...no bids! so, bid for the whole pile, I won for 10 bucks a model A, a 35,
a 40, and some early brand x, and a 60's gm thing which I gave to mr goodpliers. Next to that a pile of new exhaust parts and a muffler in the box.
I need to make an exhaust for my 61 pickup, so bought the pile for 5 bucks.

In that same area, a very nice 35 ford hood, 10 bucks. A box with 2 34 ford pedal sets, and one 39 pedal set...10 bucks! A model T 2 speed ruxtel rear end, cut dow for a tractor, 10 bucks. Some not to exciting junk too, but all in all a fun day. Check out the video!
