Regarding that Virginia 250 mile restriction, it is 326 miles from here at the top of the state to Bristol at the Tennessee border. I think that whoever made the rule didn't get out much.

Or couldn't imagine someone subjecting themselves to driving a car without power steering/brakes and AC more than 20 miles at a time.
