It's not a good idea to return the oil to the fuelpump stand, as the drain from the valve compartment is quite small, travelling at highway speed it can become overwhelmed and empty the oil pan. you should return it to the front cover or the side of the oil pan. you may get away with it if you have removed the fuel pump pushrod!
