My friends 46 woody wagon is just an amazing example of just how enduring these cars can be. It has been in an old barn in Texas for several decades, the last few with no roof over it. A bunch of tinkering and a carb and distributor redo and it runs nicely on six volts!
Added brake fluid, it has brakes! Horn works, many lights work, radio even turns on (no antenna, and I advised him to not try anymore until it gets serviced) Ive got pics in my album and even a video of it running. He had it blocked in by other cars so they aren’t the greatest but it will give you an idea of condition. He is looking to sell but neither he nor I have a handle on what something like it would be valued at. It’ll need a full wood restoration and some other metal work due to the roof failing and nobody covering it up. Its not a rot bucket but its far from mint. I wish I had the funds to restore it but it really deserves a high dollar correct job. And did I mention he has driven it up and down his street?? What a survivor story! Ill try and get some better pics and video later when he gets it outside again and its not raining! Pics are in my album. |
