Default Chassis/Frame number.

I am in New Zealand. I have a 1936 Ford V8 which is right hand drive, so made in Canada.
The Frame number is C18BF(star) 492(star)
Could someone please tell me what the numbers mean. I know the C is for Canada, the 18 is for V8, and I believe the F is right hand drive, but the others? What are the stars for?

Thanks, Chris
