Default Adding red fluid to the fuel guage - 1935 Model 48

Good morning,

I have a working fuel gauge (1935 Model 48 Deluxe) that indicates tank level with the red fluid.

Problem is that when my tanks is full it is showing only 1/2 tank.

It is possible with a bit of small tubing to add the fluid to the gauge with it mounted in the dash to bring it to 'Full Indication' ?

I seemed to recall the small tube is open on top if I could get to it.

Anyone out there done this before?

Thanks!
