New carb and fuel pump start procedure?

I can start it with a spray bottle of gas.
How do I get the pump to draw fuel to the sediment bowl? Keep spraying for a longer run? I've sprayed it and it ran about half a dozen times for a few seconds. No sign of anything getting to the glass bowl?
