Welcome to the club! I can't answer the value question but I can answer to the fact that you will find many ways to enjoy the car on tours. I would recommend a couple of things:

1) Cast iron drums
2) An over drive so that you can drive her much more easily

For a bed you might consider looking at the 'commercial body' thread and put on something unique like a large mug of rootbeer. Something, that really stands out.
