The sales for open cab pickups started to drop off steadily as the depression wore on. Folks could purchase a closed cab for near the price of the open cab and folks liked the weather tight configuration better in rainy and cooler climate parts of the country. They even made some in 1932 but they are rare as hens teeth. Not too many folks wanted them by then so Ford discontinued production.
