Default Re: New to me 1936 5 window coupe

I am still having some trouble with the charging system, I have replaced the generator cutoff with a new one from mac's. Iy will drive great for a while and then stop charging and start to sputter and hesitate, we took the 36 for a drive last night to the local pet shop. drove perfect to the shop, got back in the car and wouldn't charge above 6.40volts. anyone have any ideas that I could check into with this. the person I bought it from did have a electric fuel pump installed along the frame rail so I don't know if that would be interfering with generator pulling to much from charging.
