Default A-team performance distributor issues

Hey guys,
I got an a team performance ready to run distributor from southwest performance and have been having issues. I have been i contact with their tech support but they are absolutely no help at all. Anyways my issue is at steady high rpms I have a stumble and if I line the dot on the crank pulley up with the needle on the case it has 0 acceleration, but if I turn the distributor counter clockwise the acceleration gets better but then I have the stumble and the dot is farther away from the needle.
I have already moved the accelerator pump adjustment to see if that helps or hurts it. Has anyone ran into this issue before or have any ideas of what my higher rpm issue can be?
Thanks
