Default 1953 Flathead acceleration issue again

Last week I posted I had acceleration issues on my 1901 yeapot carb. I moved the accelerator pump adjustment to the right from the middle hole and also found the diaphragm for the power vavle was shorter so I changed it out. Took it for a drive and ran awesome for the most part but my volt meter was pegged and it would spit and sputter when it was so I found the alternator was bad, had it rebuild and put on. Now its charging fine but the acceleration issue is back now. I didn't do anything to the carburetor from last week so I don't know what happened. Any ideas? I'm just getting frustrated and confused. Thanks
