TKO in 64 Galixy

My son and i are putting a TKO 5 speed in his 64 XL and i am looking to see if other people have done this before? The motor will be finished near the end of April and want it done before the back to the 50's show in June.I am not sure if the floor has to be cut to fit this unit in it,we are getting all the parts ordered to adapt the TKO to his bellhousing and moving his shifter foward and to the side if needed we are looking for input.
