I do not like using Cloud services.

My time machine backs up to an external hard drive (made by Lacie). It cost about $100 at the MAC Store and has a couple of terabytes of space. I needed one this large because I have a lot of photos and they take a lot of space. The time machine software was already loaded on my MAC when I bought it. I am actually considering also using cloud backup also to provide off site storage in case of disaster. When I say cloud backup I don't mean storing photos on a site like Photobucket, I mean a site that does a complete back of the entire computer (and you pay for it).
