Unhappy Keri Keen Trunk Trim Pieces

Need some expert advise on these corner trim pieces shown in the pictures. Not in very good shape to say the least, as is the same with the hinges of the trunk.

Is it possible to re-shape these corners, and use "silver solder" to facilitate repair, possibly by laying and silver soldering a thin strip of .005" - .010" brass shimstock on the inside for reinforcement ?

......Or is it more feasible to locate someone that can fabricate a replacement set, that can then be chrome plated ?

The base metal material of the trim pieces are brass.
