Here's a list of Fords owned or "borrowed" by John Dillinger, as printed in the #3, 1996, V8 Times, and provided by then-curator of the John Dillinger Museum, Joe Pinkston, and reportedly collected from police and FBI reports:
A-2G74921, 1930 Model A 2980001, 1930 Model A Cpe 18-348420, 1933 V8 Coach 18-517244, 1934 V8 Dlx Sed 18-694580, 1934 V8 Dlx Sed 4 dr 18-1110789, 1934 V8 Sed 18-529158, 1934 V8 Dlx Sed 4 dr 18-507064, 1934 V8 18-751633, 1934 V8 Dlx Sed 4 dr 18-685515, 1934 V8 Dlx Sed 4 dr 18-715778, 1934 V8 Panel Delivery 18-947613, 1934 V8 Std Sed 18-824594, 1934 V8 Dlx Sed 4 dr I checked all of the above V8 numbers and they fall in the correct number ranges to be the years they are described as. The following numbers were also listed but were either misdescribed as to the year model or the numbers were not recorded correctly. The article states that some of the police and FBI reports were difficult to read, which could account for mistakes. The article also stated that there were several other V8s for which no number is recorded, so check under your seats for shell casings and/or cash! 18-112235, 1934 V8 1/2T Pickup (# shows to be July, 1932) 18-256447, 1934 V8 Dlx Sed 4 dr (# shows to be April, 1933) Well, check your pink slips, do we have any lottery winners out there?
