Default 37 engine rebuild (valve train)

Have had this engine out of my 36 5 w for several years ,has not run in over 50 years, finally got it apart, tearing up only a couple of valve guides and valves, after hot tanking engine and cleaning had Jim come ove r and mic everything, everything was in tolerance decided to do a valve and ring job and go with it,have a little green book 37-48 that tell how to do this, have accumulated all the tool over years to do the valves.Took awhile but came out really good, here's some tools I used,http://jpg
Used a dummy valve to get length from seat to lifter ,took this measurement and zero out subtract .012 or .014 ,zero this out, measure valve, which always comes out on + side ,tells me how much to remove, works every time.
