Fordor Sedans were first sold in May 1928. According to a Briggs body tag, this one was the 22nd Fordor made.
The car has the left hand cowl vent, AR left hand brake system, AR transmission, AR front end and AR rear end. The original motor was built on 5-10-28. It has AR wheels with new whitewall tires. The upholstery is original and good for patterns. The fenders are correct for May 28. You have a choice of an original round tube radiator or a new re-core radiator. Additional early 28 parts available for extra. The body has some surface rust spots, but no rust outs. The sheet metal is nice. There is some wood that should be replaced. The car was ordered new by a man in the Pittsburg, PA area who drove it home and then gave it to his brother as a wedding gift on May 26, 1928. I just purchased a new battery for it and should have it running soon. I might consider selling the body only. Have title, but it is not currently registered. |
