Default Firewall Stamping

While doing an engine swap in a ’30 Sport Coupe we noticed a curious feature on the firewall. There is a stamping on the [USA] passenger’s side of the firewall directly under the choke rod. It seems to be designed to accommodate a right-hand drive installation of the steering column. If our conjecture is correct, this car was manufactured with the option for export to countries that drive on the left side of the road. Has anyone seen this option? Do right-hand drive Model A’s have a similar blank stamping on the other side of the firewall?
