Default Correct Spare Tire Carrier bolt for trunk...

This is for you guys who have original (unrestored) cars with trunks (no rumble seat)...

Can you please tell us just what type of bolt was used to attach the Spare Tire Carrier (top bolt...not the bottom two) to the body?

The Indianapolis Service Bulletin of May 2, 1928, in their "trunk to rumble seat conversion" tells us that this bolt used a castel nut and cotter pin...what about later asembled cars? Same thing or was it changed to a lock washer and regular hex nut?

Thanks for looking.

Pluck
