A old man down the road from my dads place mowed all around his house. The blue stem had been so tall that I had never seen it in the twenty something years of driving by it. It looks to be a 26-27 Tudor sedan.

Yes it is. And I have found a ton of cars this winter. I hit the jackpot on model a's. the guy has tons of them.

Its a lot of fun finding things like that. Sometimes my wife slaps me across the head to snap me out of "lookin' for old stuff" mode. I won't let her drive because she won't slow down enough to get a good look.

My dad knows the old guy pretty good. I am going to go and talk to him. My dad said its been there for years. He might have some more stuff. I have tons of t stuff. My grandfather gave me all his cars. And a bunch of what he called parts cars. And piles of fenders doors and running boards. I have allways been more into early v8's. But I am a hoarder when it comes to early fords.

I feel fortunate that when the wife and I are driving out in the country she'll yell out "RUST !!" She loves to go junkin' (pickin') with me. ws

My wife could care less about finding cars. And I am in a very overlooked parts if Texas. There are actually quite a few cars left in this area. If you know where to look. I grew up here. And know everyone. But my wife does not like to go look. But she is only 25 so that is one reason why.

My wife has not really taken much interest in my rebuilds, but she is excited about my T. She likes cars that go slow and are quiet. She is excited that Iam getting close to finishing it and cant wait to go for a ride.

I hope that one day she will get to where she likes them. The town I grew up in is not a big old car town. There are some. But people my age are not interested in them. That is one reason they are easy to find around here. Not many want them. The guy who I found all the model a's at. Has tons of them. And none of his kids are interested in them. I grew up in both sides of the hobby. I like restoring and hot rods. I just love these old fords.

I have a friend that is 89 years old and is still rebuilding old cars and anything that he finds. He just finished a 32 sedanand is rebuilding a couple of old A model engines. He is my mentor and works in his garage all winter with no heat. Hard core. He sold me my 32 dump and helped me rebuild it. He is my hero and I have included a couple of pictures of him.

My grandfather would work on cars and share stuff with me. But my uncle has been the biggest influence on me with early fords. He was mainly into hot rods. But he would never chop up a good original car. He allways told me there was enough cars that people thought were junk out there. My dad never has cared about cars. Just cows and that's what I need to spend extra money on.

He has school busses full of parts. He has his first car he paid $3.50 for. It is a 1930 ford model a roadster. I just needed to reline the brake shoes on my t and he had the motor with the tool to drill it. It had a peep sight the you looked through and you pushed down on the shoe and lining and it drilled and countersunked all at once. pretty cool. Next he had the press designed to press the rivets. He seems to always have the tool Iam looking for or he has designed something better. I never knew my grandfather so I have adopted him and his wife. He also makes and sells cider.

I had a good friend that use to make corn cider up in the hills in Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri. He would put his in clear pint mason jars. He used to sell it out of the trunk of an old '57 Ford Fairlane 4 door at night. For an old grocery getter that think would near fly down the road. I went home to his folks house after we got done with AIT before we went to Viet Nam. First time I ever drunk any clear corn cider.

32forddump Did your friend tell you that come fall. He would take off the roadster body. And put on a coupe body for the winter. And back to the roadster in the spring. I have only known one man that had as many parts.
He had Chevy parts. But he's gone now.

I do not have any pictures and at the moment the truck is stored in a dry catch-all corner of the shed and mostly covered, so pictures would not be easy.
My dad and his brother were in the cotton gin business and started off with horses and a wagon. Next a new 24TT was bought and finally a used 1932 B finished up the gin business. I still have both trucks and drive the TT once in a while. The "B" I parked in 1958 and it has not been moved since. It has a wood homemade stake bed and is power by the 4 cylinder engine. After the gin shut down somewhere about 1940, it was used to haul square hay bales and cattle (high side boards used) and finally it was replaced with a 1953 2 ton truck that I still use to haul round hay bales.
